Announcement: On 10/25/11, Kevin DeFreest, this site's creator, passed away. Please know that his family cherishes the legacy of his love for family history and genealogy. We do not plan to let this site fall by the wayside. However, it will require some patience as we endeavor to pick up the pieces and get ourselves situated. My dad was a wonderful man who loved being able to help fellow DeFreests (and their relations!) find their roots. We will miss him immensely. ~ The DeFreest Family
